Our 8 week appointment

We had our 8 week appt today. Other than lots of information, 100 reasons to be afraid, and some necessary bloodwork/labs, there wasn't much to hip hooray about. After hearing all of the things you need to avoid and all the genetic things that COULD go wrong, I told Brian, "yes, you COULD go outside and get hit by a car, so make sure you look both ways before crossing the street!"

Good lord things have really changed since my last pregnancy!! They didn't tell me any of these things. There is a lot to worry about if you choose to. My prayer is that I/we will enjoy each stage of the pregnancy and not worry about every little thing. It is hard and as a parent is never ending. Once they are born, that fear only continues and gets worse. So, we just have to make a conscious choice not to live in fear.

So, that is the update for now. We go back in two weeks. Right now, the date of birth would be September 13, 2008....(the due date is the 20th but with the C-section, it would be 9/13....Please continue to keep us and Baby H in your prayers. God truly has been miraculous in this situation.

How cool! I think of your miracle baby H often and pray for a wonderful pregnancy for you guys!! Good reminder about NOT living in fear for our baby/children. Our God is good and is watching over them. Still can't get over how awesome of a miracle your baby is!!!

Yep, comfort food has been my craving since pregnancy too! I hardly ever crave stuff that my mom made, but that's pretty much all I've wanted to eat while pregnant.

I couldn't get the two clips (boo hoo cause I love things like this) but I loved your villainous rubbing of the hands!!! Yes, you too, shall live on!! What a thrill beyond words. You will have sooooo much fun watching this one grow and having fun planning its arrival. I know that Karin will look more beautiful as as the months go on. Again, congrats!!!! It could not happen to a more deserving couple. God is faithful and knows when people are destined to live on this earth to fulfill His purpose. Love, Alice
