10 and a half months!

Getting his foot sized at Stride Rite getting ready for his first walking shoes.

He was so excited!

At some friends (Steve and Jan Gregor) playing.

Playing with Tayler

Out to eat with mom and dad on the weekend.

He loves rough housing.

"I wonder, what IS the square root of pi"

Teething biscuits are still pretty good.

Steve with Chase. Chase wanting to go chase turkeys.

He looks so victorious.
He loves the lady robot voice in this toy.

Watching Disney's Fantasia- fascinated with the music and animation.

This week Chase has begun doing "bye, bye" and waving. The first time he did it Karin thought it was a coincidence but then we said "bye, bye" and he did it again. Sometimes he'll pump his fist instead of waving and it is so cute.
Also, Chase can still stand on his own for a few seconds at a time. He is also dancing to music. I am trying to "train" him to be a musician. He was born with an affinity to music and loves all different kinds. But, I would also like to train him to be an astronaut. :) REALLY...he will be!

10.1 months

Notice how I bribe him with food to get him to crawl?

This boy must really be growing! Most of his pics this week center around food....that is because he has been eating non stop! His favorites are still blueberries, carrots, and whole grain, wheat toast... We introduced cheerios this week. I was giving him the puffs but when I noticed the second ingredient was sugar, I threw them out! I just wasnt sure he could chew cheerios but with this fourth tooth on top coming through this week, I thought he would be fine. He now has six teeth. I am going to make him broccoli this week and chop it up for him to eat. Broccoli was one of his fave's when I pureed his food. We also got him a new cup this week as his other one was more appropriate for when he was younger..He is just getting so big. I packed away his 0-9 months clothes today and that was sad.

Tayler has been such a great help this week feeding Chase lunch. It was so cute to watch Tayler with him. I was giving him the chicken sticks but didnt want to stick with those because of the sodium and disgusting gel that is there. Tayler demanded I give him more because he "could tell Chase loves them." Too cute.

Any suggestions on making chicken? He loves to hold it and eat it.

In other news, he is on all fours now crawling...he isnt perfect, but we will take it..he usually takes a belly flop in between his steps or gets in the push up positon (as seen in above pic) It is too funny.
PS Brian ordered a #1 cake pan for C's birthday. It came in yesterday..now to make invites..it is two months away (B has been planning since April!)

"Seriously, it is!"

"Teething biscuits rock"

"Yummmm"

"I love this book!"

"My new shapes toy is so fun!"

"Is this a triangle?"

Playing with the Millenium Falcon (sp?)

"But, Daddy, I want the storm trooper" (they are my favorite)

"And?".....

"I love outside!"

"My mommy is forcing me to crawl!" (this was right before three scoots)

This was a week of firsts for Chase. He had his first teething biscuit, his first "chicken" stick, scooted for the first time and got his first Colts jersey! He rolls around to get where he is going ...and this is really a first too as far as consistently doing it. He is close to crawling...we just have to let him be on his tummy more....He was also away from me for the longest time yet as today I had to go into work for four hours! He refused to nap while away and has been sleeping for over an hour now. Brian lowered his crib this weekend and that was a shock to my system....such a big boy! In other BIG news, he is officially DONE with being rocked to sleep..he cant get comfortable so we lay him in his bed...he cries for a few then off to sleep he is! He also now hates pureed foods...he will only eat the chunky foods like diced carrots, blueberries, etc...

We have a few videos I want B to post later of first time eating chicken and the scooting..so stinkin cute!

Fun times

We had an eventful week! My mom was here and we were so busy! My mom decided to bless us and turn our bare backyard into an outdoor sanctuary. It was indeed a project but a fun one and we feel so blessed. We still have to put some finishing touches but I posted some pics. When she was here, we also celebrated B's birthday, went to P-towns 175th anniversary parade, shopped at Trader Joes and visited Trader's Point Creamery for brunch. TP was so yummy! Unfortunately, Tayler had my camera as he was in Panama City for Big Stuf-a church trip. So, I dont have many pics of the week's events. My mom took some good ones with her camera that maybe I will post later.

Chase is saying da da da and bye bye-mama only once. He still isnt crawling but loves to stand and practice walking. At his 9 month check up, he weighed 15.2 and was in 25-50% for height. We are introducing more foods that he can chew/feed himself as he has five teeth now. In other news, Tayler had a great time at Big Stuf. His "spiritual" moment was articulated by saying "I actually enjoyed the sessions and didnt dread them." That is good enough for me!
